Summer 03:49
the Benz fans are turned up high land pans before your eyes flashback to father’s suntanned thighs hopped on in driver’s seat up front with dangling feet chest belt his muscled arm around and the sun goes down the lake wakes a hard blue sky waves break and Sam says ‘hi’ flashback to Super Snorkel Spy young blonde with fishing net strong, fond his back half wet splash track and underwater sound and the sun goes down please, stop the thinking and the torture you can really only take so much things do look better in the morning without any grudge the twins bathe at 10 a.m. grins taped on Sony cam flashback to mother’s glaring lamp dives, swift into the roar wives drift, shift, safe on shore jam-packed that night that Natty drowns and the sun goes down please, stop the thinking and the torture you can really only take so much things do look better in the morning without any grudge would you stop this futile thinking would you stop these figments now

Blank 03:42
BLANK so here we go again straight into reverse now that I have made these scenes I could hardly make it worse but I hate to see you 'happy' how you've gotten on with life and bored with me so quickly it hurts, but I tell you that it's that blank that kills me so here we go again if you think to know this tale go on and roll your eyes or bite a bitten nail how I hate to see you like this thinking that you're all that yes, I hate to see you like this it hurts, but I tell you that it's that blank that kills me yes, still how I hate to see you like this thinking that you're all that yes, I hate to see you like this it hurts, but I tell you that it's that blank that kills me I'm thinking that you're all that

All I Wanted 04:38
ALL I WANTED you rave on about a car drive somewhere out in Germany you had dinner near some river like you can't get that with me and it all sounds so familiar I make sure to bite my tongue it's done nothing else but trouble kind of like our song and all because all I wanted was the best of both of us this must be what Robin felt like who'd have thought I'd fit his shoes how I'd smirk inside your T-shirt after he had called for you I've been him in that hotel room when I took it as a no now I'd rather be in Hamburg putting up our breakfast show and all because all I wanted was the best of both of us all I wanted was for us to get across for things to be like then, out there on the road for my mediocre jokes to work again we can leave tonight – I'll drive us past the wood just sit there being beautiful while I'll be good hell, I'll be good all I wanted all I wanted was I'm telling myself it's all for the better

Pre-Berlin 03:56
PRE-BERLIN just a perfect day (for this time of year) we're making away with right in the rear an Indian Summer sun, red Berlin ahead the sky so pretty through the open roof and I so witty - your laughter, my proof all your glee through your hand on my knee the memory's alive tonight the driver's seat feels quite alright and I don't know what it is but I think I could get used to this the lamppost lights are a canopy of stars but you on my right you light up the car the road and me your hand on my knee more on than off it distracts my pedal foot as we fall in love with Parachutes yeah, we do – yeah, we do the memory's alive tonight the driver's seat feels quite alright and I don't know what it is but I think I could get used to this I am aware and sad somehow this is here, this is now how I love to be in this state we're in right before we take Berlin before we take Berlin we’re moving too fast let’s take another five I’d just like it to last this six hour drive a few hours more snacks and gas galore the memory's alive tonight the driver's seat feels quite alright and I don't know what it is but I think I could get used to this I am aware and sad somehow this is here, this is now how I love to be in this state we're in right before we take Berlin don't tell me you don't feel this, too

Sirens 03:33
SIRENS damn, this is bad - this is so bad I get out of the crash thinking no one survived big eyes from the backseat to my surprise I see all three alive you're losing blood in the grass there on the side of the road in your striped summer dress the boy runs off to see you I pick him up but he must've seen some of your legs I swear dear, you'll be alright now don't you go out on me here I swear I hear sirens come close that means help is near the autobahn is reflecting rotting fruit in at least 30 something degrees nothing but chaos all these questions, ignorance FUCK THE POLICE! I swear dear, you'll be alright now don't you go out on me here I swear I hear sirens come close that means help is near now you listen to me I will bring you back home will you listen to me I will bring you back home home back from the car-dump I sit down with the boy on the edge of the bed in a hotel room near Munich remembering what I said
6.
WINTERSCHLÄFER that was your mom who I just informed now go back to bed while it’s still warm not one thing you need that is not in this lair lay down your arms - you're under my care close those eyes goodnight-night to you go and doze off this cold winter through and see what time will do let's pull up a chair now Janosch is here for 'Ich mach dich gesund, sagte der Bär' and when you're fast asleep I will play with your hair through my tears I will breathe you're under my care close those eyes goodnight-night to you go and doze off this cold winter through the curtain's drawn the sun long gone close those eyes goodnight-night to you no, I won't take a straight no from you and when spring arrives we will have to see if you're sick of life or - maybe - me

Robin II 06:22
ROBIN II well, it’s been a few days now, so how have you been not that I should know what state you’re in I should care less well, I just bawled my eyes out and feel really relieved not that I threw up enough to fully retrieve I’m still a mess but what really helps a lot is the knowledge that it’s nothing but the time it takes you gave me meals for thought and Robin a laughing break how quickly will he re-enter the lists? don’t correct me if I’m wrong I’m sure that grudge exists (especially his…) and that mine will make a brilliant song well, lately I have not been that close with time the weekends seem the worst ever since they’re all mine it’s hard to get through well, congratulations - you entered the Torture Top 3 and by the way already not happy anniversary here’s to you and your cool here’s to me and my catch-22 now what really helps a lot is the knowledge that it’s nothing but the time it takes you gave me meals for thought and Robin a laughing break how quickly will he re-enter the lists? don’t correct me if I’m wrong I’m sure that grudge exists (especially his…) and that mine will make a brilliant song but what really helps a lot is the knowledge that it’s nothing but the time it takes it is funny not at all half as funny as to call me Robin by mistake he will re-enter the lists don't correct me if I'm wrong I'm sure that grudge exists (especially his…) and that mine will make a brilliant song

FORTUNE TELLER look at you now in such a rush but one big step behind you need a clue now all blinded by the gypsy of your mind if you give me your hand I’ll do what I can to get you calm by making up the meaning of the lines in your palm look at you now uptight and in denial for a while you look like shit now it’s the tears of things and halb so schlimm come on – show me that smile and give me your hand I’ll do what I can to get you calm by making up the meaning of the lines in your palm

Hamburg 01:21
HAMBURG and then there was a flood of tears in secrecy a questionnaire answered with a silence treat and then there was a phoney smile of irony a double bed with a single sheet a ceiling mirror with a focus switch a blackest night a lack of might a lower lip’s tiny little twitch
10.
COPPER SHADES the copper shades you wore were very big and green and I was only feather-light above the engine-roar in the smell of gasoline you'd make sure I'd hold on tight and there we'd go with no direction anywhere the wind would blow and I would ask you all these questions while your pride of me would show then in an act of love you'd pull me close and check my orange-colored water wings you'd turn the engine off and somewhere from the back we'd both jump in for a swim and there we'd go with no direction anywhere the wind would blow and I would ask you all these questions while your pride of me would show and safe in your Calypso with the world of wise Cousteau below and ice cream castles overhead now how was I to know how was I to know a towel round my chest your copper shades back on we would speed up fast and dry up by the sun

SWIM WITH SAM Sam here says he lost his call on the day Cousteau had died the ocean was a tub of sharks with Jacques-Yves as a guide Sam here says the water’s safe that man should not have left the seas called the Human Bathyscaphe he’s King of Expertise so if someone wants to know and asks you where I am you say you saw me go for a swim with Sam Sam here says they call him ‘nice’ and that it makes him really sick that his ‘nice’ is like ‘polite’ and silence does the trick Sam here says he’d like to go somewhere far away from here to a sea that no one knows to completely disappear so if someone wants to know and asks you where I am you say you saw me go for a swim with Sam don’t try to talk me out of this not while I’m here in Carla’s seat ‘the sea has many drops of water but the salt won’t let you taste the sweet’ go, go!

Herbst 02:35
HERBST so spring never came no need to digress it is what it is this too shall pass now summer has gone you need a new plan before you know it it’s winter again – all over again you'll be alright I know for a fact just look at the twins remember the pact and then there's this blonde still a bit tanned maybe it’s time now you’d let go of his hand go on…
